89 Suburban is gone....added a K5 in it's place..87 V30 WONTON

I'll see if I can catch a break and drive it over tomorrow.

Have to let a guy in the shop yard and then I'm on the way.

Just checking off things before BB18. @Fastereddie swapped out trans parts and freshened up the 4l80e. 4" lift, steering wheel for more belly room. Terminator heads were from the previous owner. Going to get tires and wheels mated tonight. Ordered a Tom Wood's driveshaft today for the front.

East side llantera 4 wheels mounted and balanced in 20 minutes and matching lug nuts.

Tube bending noob question. How much deformation is acceptable on 2" .120 wall mild steel tubing when bending a 90 degree? These are not roll cage or structural pieces. I picked up a rogue fab bender xhd 600 model. They are telling me that 11% is good to go, does anyone have thoughts on this? It seems excessive to me and @Fastereddie when I showed him the piece.

Took the wife out to the lake in the blue bucket yesterday. Had some fun now that it's cooling off a little. Also went and had hobo fire chicken with @Fastereddie and a buddy of his. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Where's the potato? lol

Found a great deal on a contractors shell. After using one on my superduty I'm sold on this style of shell. Works for keeping my install tools safe and great for truck camping.

@1-ton when @Fastereddie was working on it (I'm an electrical dummy) he pointed out that everything looks factory and untouched. We were worried the solenoid kit we had ordered was wrong because it had the newer parts like you pointed out. Everything was either already updated or it was done factory recalled (we guess when truck was new) . The codes it was throwing was stuff for the A/C which it doesn't have and a couple other unrelated ones. The last solenoid that fixed it was the speed something or other. Fastereddie can probably verify which one, I don't remember.

I am also guessing that the TCC solenoid and 1&2 shift solenoid where not replaced because most solenoid kits only come with the A&B solenoids the internal wiring harness, and the two speed sensors. The other solenoids mentioned you have to buy separately. If what was put in fixed the problem then as the saying goes "if it ain't broke...don't fix it". :D
We replaced both shift solenoids, the tcc solenoid, pressure control solenoid, pressure manifold and the harness with temp switch along with input and output speed sensors.
It only has two shift solenoids. 1-2 and 2-3. The a/b you’re referencing are the same thing, just pre-obd2

It’s stock ‘91, just updated with all the later versions.

We’re talking about the same solenoids. I was just saying they changed the name for obd2 diagnostic reasons. They changed the names from solenoids a and b to 1-2 and 2-3.

Starting a light bar mount for some 8" HID KCs I have on the shelf. Using the stock bumper for now until I can get a winch. Smoked a tuff country shock on the last outing, so shock towers and beefier shocks coming up. Going to try to fit these bucket seats.

Went up North and cruised around some of the mines & went camping. Cemetery is from the 1800's and is slowly disappearing back into the landscape.

Good weekend in Parker,AZ for the 2019 Winter Nationals Parker 250. Missed @sreidmx maybe someday soon we'll meet in person at one of the races. Photos from some of the graphics & banners we produce for the races. Random shots of my check. Didn't shoot many race photos due to being lazy and warm inside the truck. No square body this time since it was a quick overnight trip.
