Every time I see videos like this I really want a go fast play truck! I think that van might have wanted to challenge you though.

I want to drive my truck! Im going to try and get a new water pump installed this weekend and see if i can tighten up my steering box. Im probably also going to pull my roof rack and tent and try and finish that up as well.

If i cant fix my steering box, what is a good aftermarket one? PSC or redhead? I do plan on upgrading to ram assist so getting a ported box would be ideal.

I've been trying to figure out the same thing (steering box) and have a thread going over in the Garage section. I've seen some mixed reviews on Red Head boxes with some people swearing by them and other people saying they'd never buy another. The PSC box seems to be a good piece and I've never seen a negative mention of them anywhere. Another option is West Texas Off-road, they sell the Redneck Ram but also sell and rebuild top notch steering boxes.

Thanks for the info! I'll check out the thread

took it for a rip down the local dirt road the other night. I need to get my lighting situation figured out. its way to easy to outrun my headlights! I also did some crawling. Even though its still 2wd, the extra wheel travel let me bump up things pretty quick and i never got stuck. I did however manage to bend my tierod on a rock so that sucks. I also just bought another factory steering box for now. Hopefully it will last till i get a ported one! I am also thinking about selling my whole LS swap... motor, trans, wiring harness, pcm, exhaust, all of it. If anyone is interested shoot me a PM!

Well, this thing is gunna undergo some major surgery in a few months. Got a flex ramp from a customer. Found out my rear springs are worse than I thought! I also found some stress cracks in the frame. So that prompted the planning stages of front and back halving the truck. New front and rear tube structure to support the suspension as well as making everything stronger. This will let me be able to optimize geometry and fitment of certain suspension components while not being constrained to factory frame parameters. The truck will also be getting caged front to back and the rear will be getting cut off and linked. The end goal will be a low ride height and monster travel numbers with big shocks, sealed cab and AC. I also got new headlights that are bad ass.
