'90 K5 "Project Sanity" Sold 7/5/2018

Stoked!! Start up vids tomorrow! :waytogo:

Thanks a ton Russ, definitely could not have pulled this swap off without you.

I almost got the **** scared out of me when mine first started. Starter was grinding away for a few second and then all the sudden she started breathing fire!

Great feeling, congrats! [emoji122]

Russel is dropping it off here on Sunday afternoon. If I gotta wait, all y'all gotta wait for the start up vid. I'm pretty excited...there isn't a whole hell of a lot left to do before I can drive it.

Great to read that you got it to fire off.
They do sound pretty rank / mean with open exhaust .

All props, praise etc should be aimed at Russel. I have worked many many hours on my Blazer the last 6 months, but without Russel this would be a no-go...or at best a three year wiring fail fest!

He didn't just do the harness and splice it in...he hand built the entire truck harness, most importantly the full under dash portion. Every part of the 5.3 harness and the cool things the 5.3's ECM can control are fully integrated into the new harness's and all custom routed and wrapped. Having seen every individual wire sorted, traced, routed, pinned and soldered was a sobering experience!

Anyways, massive thanks to Russel!

Start up video's are the best!

Burn out video's are even better!! :haha::popcorn:

and he makes it sound like no big deal! Russell=electrical genious!:waytogo:

Took a start up vid. Russel dropped it off this afternoon. No brakes other than the parking brake...so Russ pushed it off the trailer while I hung on for dear life. :haha:

Then I fired it up, but it wouldn't move. So, we added about 5 quarts of tranny fluid to it and tired again. Everything was cool and I pulled it up into the driveway where we let it run to operating temp watching for leaks and topping fluids as we went.

I should have done the start up vid outside where there is more light...but this is what I got.

Pants fit funny immediately. :pimp:

The extra bonus is Russ blocked the alley behind my house, directly behind our neighbor from hell. Firing it up on the trailer, it was loud! Then we had it running in the alley topping tranny fluid up, and for another 20 minutes or so in the driveway topping coolant, power steering and checking for leaks. I'm sure it drove that old miserable prick crazy...and I approve of that! :D
