90S SUBURBAN SEAT SWAP TO NEWER 99 TO 06 SILVERADO SEATS

has any one done the seat swap to suburban can any one help me with the links to it i have the seats it does seem to tall wanted to see what guys did to lower them down a bit make them work

I looked into this not too long ago. It wasn't worth it to me since part of the structure underneath needed to be cut and welded to make it as low as the stock ones. Most that have done it just kept them high. I think I read about one guy that cut out the hump and put a flat floor in. I'm keeping my eye out for a simpler solution. I'll try to find a link.

ok yea i got a good deal on the seats and they sit way to high but dam they are way more comfortable

I'm trying to figure out what seats are in this one as this was the suburban i was going to buy but someone beat me to it

If you're not super tall, most people didn't seem to mind the height. If you have the center console/seat you will have to lower that too. The seat belts are nice to have on the seat though. Look at the bracket underneath yours. You can probably just cut the frame on the new seat and weld your current slider on there. The plastic trim seemed problematic from what I remember too. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, but if I had a welder and maybe some flat stock, I would have hacked it up. Just start with the passenger seat, lol. Oh and I can't tell what seats those are in that pic.

yea I'm 5'9 and the steering wheel would have to stay up or it would hit my lap it really sucks cause i don't have a passenger front seat right now and can't find one at the moment so my wife always has to ride in the back seat lol

I am planing on using the Savana seats I had in the Blazer in the Burb. I need to make some metal tabs to adapt to the burb mounts but they were comfy
