Raggedy_Ann Build Process

Build process of my K% known as Raggedy Ann
Dan @85k5witha6.2 and I spent a solid 13 hours this past Saturday making a winch cradle for the rear and finishing up the rear cage design. Dan is designing the rear winch on his pc to cut out on the plasma table then we bent the 1/4in plate in the press break. as easy as that! Then i got to use a mag drill for the first time which was really exciting i thought. I drilled pilot holes threw the plate and frame. Hole saw frame to weld in threaded inserts. Then on to the rear cage. I had no ideas really how to proceed, Dan tossed ideas out there and it turned in to art. I am not very good with tube work but i did learn a lot by watching and doing it my self figuring out tricks. Loaded up my blazer late at night to bring home so i can begin to wrap up a lot of things like finish welding, limit straps, fuel system, brakes etc, a lot left, then will return with a running and driving truck to make a belly skid and tin in the wheel wells. A lot more to do but its getting there!7199.jpg7200.jpg7204.jpg7201.jpg7205.jpg7206.jpg7208.jpg7209.jpg7210.jpg

Looking badass!

I have been slowly working away on my blazer. To do the rear coil overs there is so much more time consuming than the front because you are working in so many other parts of the vehicle. The suspension has been done sense April. I have messed with, rebuilt, re designed re brain think out... exhaust, fuel system, electrical wiring, cage, sheet metal work to 100% complete the job. I want to say thank you to @mrk5 and @rderosier for coming to my house and putting in long days. Thank you guys very much for you time and effort. The cage work, wheel well tubing/ bumper, rear winch ideas i had in my head would not of been possible with out Dans @85k5witha6.2 help. Allowing me to keep my blazer at his shop doing work on it when i can using his tool and his knowledge in fabrication, none of the work would of been able to get done. Thank you Dan. My blazer is very close to being done, the back half of the truck is 98% done i have a few little things to wrap up, then i am wokring on the front right now. Finishing the tube work and the brake system ( going to D-Max calipers hydro master) I plan July 12th to take her on Spring Creek for her may den voyage!
