91 Cummins In a 71 Blazer issues

Also the only reason I was going to try to switch to the 241 is that is what was reccommended to me in a previous thread when I asked which Tcase to go with. Can you get a slip yoke eliminator for a 205

I looked up your other thread on the transfer case, you were asking about using a 241 over a 208 in a newer K5 correct?
With your current setup, Cummins/ nv4500 / 205 you basically have the perfect super beefy combo. All stupid simple, tough, reliable and easy to find parts for. Consider a twin stick setup for the 205 to help with shifting, a fluid change and at worst a basic overhaul of the unit and you should be good to go for a loooong time :waytogo:

Oh, and like stated your 205 is a FIXED yoke, so it has no slip yoke :D

i did 2 of my 205 t-cases with ord's twin stick shifter.

installed 1 of theres again in my buddys nv4500/205 swap in his 85k30

also when we had his case off the old tranny to swap on the 4500 i went in to it and tighened it up a big here n there and new gaskets / seals . also modifyed the front shift rail for full twin stick options = front wheel drive option. he has now got it together and loves it . screen name here is ( manchildau65 )

the twin stick upgrade makes these cases shift 10x better than the factory setup. my 1 truck had 40k orignal miles on it . all lubed and tight no play and still shifted like crap. installed twin stick and its night and day .

first 2 pic's my twin stick in plow truck.

last 2 pic's is my tripple stick / doubler t-case in crew cab .

Non-intercooled 12 valves are '89 and '90, intercooled 12 valves are from '91-'98

Just to clarify things, the split between non-IC and IC was actually in the middle of -91.
They also changed a bunch of other stuff at the same time.
So it's perfectly normal to have a non-IC from -91 like the OP.

 You guys are flipping amazing.

Back to the steering, you said it's terrible/ scary etc. What exactly does it do or not do? Is it just super sloppy, does it have a horrible shake at a certain speed, does it wander, or does it change lanes when hitting a bump ? More info will help us help you :D

Super Sloppy, Wanders a little, and changes lanes at a bump. I haven't had an issue at any particular speed.
