i bought the beast from my wife's cousin. it is in great shape. i really dont have to build it it was made this way from an aftermarket company but bought new like this from the dealer. my plans are to refine and update as money allows.

it has the tbi 350/4l60/241 combo with d60f/d70r with 4.10s. it drives nice with this combo deep gears and overdrive are super nice. my only project here is pm and a deep pan for the trans.

first update is wheel/tire combo. it has 215s on it and the speedo is reading 55mph when my gps says 50 so bigger meats it is. bummer right

so after talking with my long time friend kyle and he likes his 19.5s so i ordered some 245/70's and old bread truck wheels.

Cool. Sure it has a 4l60e? That truck came stock with the 4l80e.

Cool truck. By the way, you can very easily fix your speedo on that truck. You just need to get a modified DRAC unit, flip the switches, and plug it in. Real cheap: http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273863&highlight=drac

I've dealt with sweetk30 on the DRAC unit - he was FAST to ship after receiving payment, and the workmanship was great. That way any time you change tires you can fine-tune your speedometer.

Use the calculator on this page to figure out how you need to set your DRAC. http://www.tbichips.com/drac/

dhcomp it was originally a V1500 i will double check though cus im looking at a mag-hytec pan for it to live.

i love this forum cus everyone is here to help
others sites just want to web piss on ya
thanks guys/gals

If it was originally a 1500, its a 4l60 / 700r4. The 4l60E didnt' come out til 92-93? Never in this body style.

Pics of axles? Sure its a d60 front? Ive seen some goofy dually 10 bolt setups before....

yeap 60 front 70 hd rear 4 inch non neckdown tubes too bad there open

i don't want to lift it much. im thinking some 3/4 64in springs and just move the hangers?

Damn that is a sweet 'Burb, nice score! I agree, it should have a 4L80E from the factory if it is overdrive, can you get a picture of the pan and post it?

Looks like it started life as a 1500, so it would be a 700r4

the whole reason behind the burban purchase. to take my wife and 4 kids comfortably to weekend outings and vacations. this was the big shakedown run with it. logged 500 miles on the setup.35 gallons of fuel up in the mountains fully loaded inside for 6 people for 5 days!! i love it more every time we use it. several miles of 7%, 9%, and 12% percent grades and it just chugged along. cheoah point campground santeetlah lake,nc. just below fontana dam.

Looks good!

Make sure that trans has a BIG aux cooler on it. THats a lot of truck for that trans, and excessive heat WILL kill it. A big cooler will help prolong its life.

Cool burb. But that top overload doesn't look like its doing anything

My dually has a set of those spring packs. You'd have to load a Prius in the back of the Burb along with the family to sit on the upper overloads. There's a reason why we call 'em "overloads" :haha:
