91" HP Dana 60 hub Remove HELP!!!

I traded the custom War Wagon as I called her (the 01' pulling the trailer) for the k5 I'm now building. The finished product will boast a stroked 454 and an sm465 with a doubler. The whole thing is a gift for my father who just happens to be the coolest mofo in the world :). I think he'll like it :)

I think I love you :haha:

Freekin cool man, keep it up :thumb:

One of my life dreams is to build my pops a wheelin rig.

If you still need the spindle nut socket, check out the ones Lisle makes: http://www.lislecorp.com/divisions/categories/browse.cfm?division=1&category=3 . I just bought one. I haven't used it yet but it looks like a nice socket. Recessed teeth so it should be stronger than the exposed teeth style. They have three models that might fit the Dana 60: 27250, 29900, 27400 (supposed to work on 4 and 6 slot style nuts). It looks like they also make sockets for the ratcheting lock nuts. I bought the 29900 but haven't tried it yet. Here is a link to their .pdf catalog that has more fitment information: http://www.lislecorp.com/uploads/files/2011LisleCatalogLR_5A7BCCD3E679A.pdf . Sockets are on page 14. I believe O'Reilly carries the Lisle brand. I bought mine through Rockauto along with some other parts. Put in your truck info and go to the "tools and universal parts" tab. Drivetrain-->Tool-->Lock Nut Tool. $14-$19 at rockauto.

BADASS! (both the war wagon and the new K5). Always loved the work you did on the 01. Did you paint it yourself? If so - with what?

Great info on the socket! Thank you for the time there.

I painted the 01' with zolatone. It's an industrial paint you get in many color combos. VERY durable. My 91' (the new War Wagon) will be the same color :)
