91 K5 -Procrastination Build - bikini top!

Super high quality stuff, it's all still in bags and I'm impressed! LOL

superb quality from JB, even the packaging it perfectly organized like you mentioned.
and I always love seeing packages with Made in USA stickers all over them flagwaver

Can you give me an overall height and width of those shifters/base. I'm working on getting a doubler (well, reduction box/205) in my K5 right now and I think that style shifter will work the best

Jon has those dimensions on his website

I must be blind...cause I couldn't find them last night when I was looking

So is it going to be driving soon?......

Shoot man, it drives now.... I just have that (lack of) windshield frame issue. LOL. Now that the holidays and some family stuff are over, I hope to start picking up speed.

The floor is 95% prepped for liner, I needed to get the shifter to see how / if the old shifter hole would work with the new one. Now that I see it wont I need to patch over the hole and move on to spraying the liner on a warm weekend.

Are you running a center console?

I have the original factory console but I doubt I'm going to use it. I'm thinking I may need the opening between the seats for "easier" access to the rear seat once the cage is eventually complete, I plan on using diagonal bracing like Greg72 discussed on his ( like this > \_/ with some space between the support legs at the floor, not ideal but more practical).

Yeah, I found that as soon as I wrote the freaking post...:doah:my bad...carryon

If you compare pics you'll notice the sticks are actually straight on the triple, not bent like the double pictured. The base looks the same. I'll check the stick height & width at lunch.

I like r3ddog's cover on the shifter base, I may see if Adam ( @Deuling ) can make something neat looking.

only reason I ask is because you may want the sifters back and closer to the driver if you're not running a console. Otherwise you'll be reaching for them which is impossible if you end up with a harness down the road.

@Kay86K5 the shifters are just under 5.5" at the knobs and the overall height is 14.5".

My base body is 3.25" wide, 1/8" less than the pic BUT it's just under 4" from tip to tip of the pivot bar nuts.

That was my initial thought to so it would be more convenient but I ran in to 2 problems; the 4spd and the floor shape.

If I put the shifter forward o the flat sufrface of the tunnel the sticks interfere with the 4spd stick. If I move it back the floor becomes rounded and also has raised bosses for the console. It looks like I'd either have to remodel the floor or build a flat surface o put it on. I think the simplest solution is to put it where the stock shifter is and deal with the reach.

Have you thought about keeping it here (see below pic) but recessing it so the cables are routed under the rig? Of course I'm assuming you have room underneath the floor as well.
