91 K5 -Procrastination Build - bikini top!

Wow very nice option! LOL looks good now you just need all four tires on

Dude that's a great looking 465/203/205 combo - how much $ do you think you have invested?

Honestly, not as much as most folks. I had the 205 from my old truck ($0) and I scored the 465 & 203 from a buddy ($0).

Doubler kit (with shifters) $950
Billet cover kit (for all) $300
ORD 32 spline 465 main shaft $350
465/203 adapter $100
misc gasket kits / pieces / parts $150
Hydro bell & pedals $100
Master cyl / slave / fork / t.o. bearing $125

I still have to buy yoke (1410 for the rear) and have yet to figure out the clutch. I have a 3 finger race clutch but may not be able to use it on the hydro set up. If I can't I'll probably have another $150 or so in a clutch.

Ouch, that really adds up when you right it all down. :doah:

you've got a sweet build going on nvrenuf. similar to what i've got laying around for the burb. ? about the 203 input side. is it 10 spline and if you've still got it apart could i get a picture of what the splines look like on the input of the 203? my 203 was forced onto the back of an sm465 splitting the splines on the out put of the transmission, just want to make sure it's ok to use still. thanks

The 203 is 32 spline (it's from a 400/203 set up) and fully assembled. The 10 spline input shaft is female like the 32. I may have a pic of one at home, I'll check and post it tonight.

Got any pics of your 465 splines? I can't picture them being damaged by installing a 203, the spines are huge and coarse so I can't imagine someone being strong enough to force it on wrong.

HAHAHA, john im glad you just did that doubler, 465 mod. that means you can do mine (i mean HELP me do mine):rotfl::rotfl:

pic of the 203 10 spline input.

i'll see if i can get pics of the 465 shaft tomorrow. it's at the shop. it looks like the 203 splined centered on the teeth and split them in half. the guy that had the tranny said it ran that way for a couple of weeks and then went bang.

thanks

Wow, there's a lot of wear on that gear. I've seen 4spd/205 set ups like that, usually with either a billion miles or tons of hard use. I would bet that's excessive wear rather than improper installation.

Fwiw, here is a new gear -
