I feel like I had a good shakedown trip, the truck performed well although I freely admit I didn't push it. This was my first time using the Doubler and it was pretty dang cool, the truck felt like a stinkin tractor!
I did have a couple of issues;
#1) my fuel pressure slowly dropped all day Saturday from 5.5psi down to 2psi. It still runs but I chose not to wheel Sunday morning for fear of getting stranded on the far side of the park. I'm not sure if it's the regulator or pump or even the gauge, I'll spend some time on it Saturday.
#2) I had 2 problems with my tcase cable shifter - first was I forgot to close the retainers for the clevis's at tcase end of the cables so I lost a couple (way to go me). Second was that the upper shifter rail bracket from JB Fab hit the floor and wouldn't move, having the 205 clocked up 2" seems to be the issue. I didn't notice it in the shop because I did the final cable assembly and adjustment without the crossmember and front driveshaft for easier access. Obviously, that last 1/2" the crossmember raised it made all the difference. It looks like I'll have to cut and mod the floor to fix this.
#3) The steering gear box kept trying to push the original retaining ring for the end cap out. Way back when I installed the Diy4x end cap I noticed the ring was just a bent piece of small rod so it holds it's shape but does not have any tension qualities like a real internal snap ring. I'm going to try and find a real snap ring to replace it.
You can see the ring creeping out in the pic.
