91 K5 -Procrastination Build - bikini top!

Spend once, the price point between white body dampners and bilstien shocks isn't all that much, and real shocks will help with keeping a tire planted. I wish I was closer to linking my front end, I'd make you a deal on my front shocks.

Good shocks are an expensive pill to swallow but I wouldn't do it any other way with soft springs.

Just to be the devil's advocate, I put Bilsteins (used) on my '75 Blazer.

Could not tell much of a difference.

Not an amazing update but I finally got my headlights and taillights working again! They suddenly quit working last year and I’ve been chasing that gremlin for a long time, I finally found a broken terminal in the harness junction block on the firewall.

I still have to put the dash and steering column back together but now I can move on to better projects.

For the sake of documentation, here are some pics of a manual throttle controller I finally found. The controller is a direct bolt in, there is a tiny bolt in the bell crank at the firewall end of it for adjustment against the gas pedal fulcrum.

Me too :rotfl:

Tomorrow I’ve got a tool box, CO2 tank and ice chest to bolt down in the back.

I’m trying to be patient and bleed the p/s system real good today and tomorrow (reman steering box and built a new bracket for the fluid reservoir) then hopefully drive it.

I’ve let it sit for a year so it needs some run time bad.

No :burnout: videos but I’m really happy to say that the Blazer is running and driving pretty good now. A huge shout out and THANKS to @tarussell for helping me work through a lot of stubbornness and fix a tuning issue.

The real update is that in preparation for taking it to a cruise in next weekend I installed 15hp.

It’s all about that last 15 HP that cool sticker provides that makes the difference!
