1/2 ton status
Here are some pictures of my 1991 K5. I got this early summer. It is my 4th one. All of them have been TBI. I swapped in a 454 and kept the TBI. The 454 is 9.5 to 1 JE pistons and ported oval port heads. The first 454 tossed 2 pistons on the dyno but made almost 500 hp. So.... the Speed Pro pistons were switched for forged and I switched to a roller cam. I did not dyno it but it runs real strong. The TBI is a ported BB unit and I had a custom chip burned. The trans is a 700R4 from Monster. The axles are out of an 86 3/4 ton and have 4.10 gears. It has an all spring 2" lift. I am now starting to fix the floors.
check ot the fancy ladder bars that have no pivot points. (nice bind) and 4.88 gearset.
thats why i put new axles in it.

these are the seats I am goning to use. Out of an 04 Tahoe w/23K. I got front, back and console for $100.
overhead console dyed using the color bond from LMC. It seems to work good.
rear end
front end. I like the coated headers but had to weld around the gasket surface and surface grind it flat to get a seal on the oval port heads.
