If you take that front bumper off please do before and after measurements
It has some weight to it for sure! It will be coming off this summer. I’ll take the measurements, I’m curious now.If you take that front bumper off please do before and after measurements
It’s the nicest square I’ve owned. Kinda feel bad for neglecting it for so long. The barn doors is a big plus! Reaching into the back with a tailgate doesn’t work for me, I’m too short lol. I plan to get the A/C functioning again before blazer bash. I can live without it, but the wife and kids won’t be too happy in a hot truck! That is a nice truck! Barn doors and rear a/c is great!
You just have to roll the windows down and drive faster! It’s the nicest square I’ve owned. Kinda feel bad for neglecting it for so long. The barn doors is a big plus! I anticipate that I will have to replace a lot to get it working again. Luckily all the parts are there. I’ll have to get smart on AC systems.I have redone a lot of my ac system o my burb. Stillhave a leak and tracked it down to thrme rear area
I had an old burb with rear a/c once. It’s the nicest square I’ve owned. Kinda feel bad for neglecting it for so long. The barn doors is a big plus! That will keep me motivated to get it working! A good A/C will make it a lot more enjoyable to drive in the hotter months. I want it to be more of a daily driver, so A/C is a priority.I had an old burb with rear a/c once.
Never use the front fan. The rear with double squirrel cages will freeze you out!
I saved the rear unit when I sold the truck. Of course the lines going to the rear got damaged when I moved. Gonna put it in something someday...
I didn’t even think about asbestos! Luckily everything was already wet from the cylinder leaking. Thanks for the heads up though before I do the other side!Got plenty of ac knowledge here at ck5, nothing you can’t handle.
If compressor iscto be replaced I recommend converting to a Sanden style, rather than spend money on a weak R4. Some will say parallel flow condenser is a must, for R134a conversion, it is not.
Brake leak at cylinders is kinda to be expected after sitting so long. If in fact they have never been done the material will asbestos, wet it down and bag the dust.

Dirty dingo has some cool stuff! Interested to hear how your setup works once fex ex delivers.Dirty dingo has a pretty good bracket set and conversion compressor head for the sanden to r4 conversion. You’ll just need to extend the little line off the condenser. One day when FedEx isn’t a bunch of morons it will arrive on my doorstep.
Might as well while I’ve got it this far. It’s becoming a chore to locate all the correct brake parts. Oreillys carries some but not all parts for the 13” drums. LMC and rock auto have everything else I need, so I’ll add seals and bearings to the order. As for the axle, I'd go ahead and put in new wheel bearings and seals as well as brake cylinders.
The originals are 34 years old now.
