'91 Suburban. Slowww Build

lol welcome to the club!:thumb:

I posted these pics in another thread also. Just wanted them here to keep track of what I do. Seats are out of a Chevy Cruze and console is is out of a 03 -04 Silverado. Probably gonna change console to a 07-13 Silverado console. I think the cloth is a better match to seats.

Damn fine looking rig. I lust for it every time I see it.;)

How do you like those seats? Fresh seats are high on my list.

Thanks. I really like these seats. I sat in Malibu and Impala seats too and I chose these because they have a manual height adjustment and the sliders are super long. I needed a little more leg room and these are great. Seats are comfortable and only $50 for the pair at my local pick and pull. Gonna go back and scour for center console that matches better soon

Posted this in another thread too. Figured I need all the input I can get, so I brought it over here too.
Well.... My timeline just got sped up. I've got an oil pan full of antifreeze. Checked the oil and radiator Sunday afternoon and discovered the mess. Gonna be too cold this weekend to pull engine. Hopefully better weather the following weekend. Summit Racing has most everything in stock that I want.
L31-r long block
GMPP Vortec/Tbi intake
JBA stainless shorty headers
Im open to suggestions for quality starter and alternator.
I'm leaning towards a rebuilt/ modified Tbi unit from spr/tbichips. They have a 46mm built for my specific combo
All new sensors. Gonna get oe stuff if I can find it
Maybe new motor mounts since they're gonna easily accessible.
No egr/emission worries
What else am I missing???
Any suggestions will help

Got a little parts porn for everyone. Found a deal on a set of Dougs Headers for my engine swap. I've started ordering parts and these came today. I took a couple pieces out of the box for pics

I took trip to Summit Racing yesterday and picked up the majority of parts for my engine swap. I didn't get a distributor or wires yet. Still trying to decide on that. Probably going with Chevrolet Performance
93440806. It has a melonized gear on it. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas of anything better. Ordered a bored throttle body from SPR Performance, should be here by the end of next week. Also ended up buying a chip from TBIChips. I've read mixed reviews, thought I'd give it a shot. Here's a few pics

Finally got new engine in. I ended up having a shop do it. I needed it done soon as I had taken over my sons Ranger. No major issues with install. He had to grind a little on the intake where the throttle body linkages are. I ordered throttle body from SRP. I've put about 300 easy miles on it so far. Everything seems to be good. I had the shop do the coolant bypass. Anyway, here's some pics.

Nice truck, you think that center seat would fit in between the factory front buckets? I added a kid recently and need my blazer to fit 6.
