'93 Blazer build thread

Ok, I just read your entire build ......all I can say is .......Great job
I have no idea how I have never seen it until now :doah, I saw the pic you posted in the "pic a day" thread and had to see more :D

I like your take on the "utility/trail tube bed", very cool for sure :waytogo: your rig is like the newer more rounded version of my K30 :D (with a much nicer inside )

I'll be watching to see how you like the Spartan, I just bought one a few weeks ago and hope to install it soon.

Once again , great build, very nice detailed pics and write ups and just a super cool rig  :waytogo: :pimp:

Thank you very much! Do you have pics of your K30 by chance? And the front should be back together tomorrow so I can lightly test out the Spartan, at least to see if it allows more ease of turning on dry surfaces.

You're welcome, I forgot to mention, I really dig the H2 wheels :pimp: are you planning to run stauns or something else ?

My K30 http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=292854. It really starts around post 20, I had planned on building another K5 , but we all know how plans and things change :D the actual build took place in about a 40 or so days total :doah: (don't want to try that again)

Im running a different brand of the Staun style beadlocks, by Inner Air Lock, I liked the characteristics of the stauns, but a guy was selling these new for $100 less than what they cost new.

And I know all too well how plans can change.:waytogo:

had some fun Friday:waytogo:

and I love these tires, I had one pretty much stabbed by a rock and it just left some scuffing

Looks boss with the new setup. Did you try the hard lines on that pyramid?

Thanks dude, how was your trip?

I did the side that faces the mud pit, it felt the most sketch going up, the truck pitched way over at a couple points & I had to try a couple times to get the right line. It looked like the hardest line due to the lack of rocks on it, just big vertical steps.

I also did the sides clockwise & counter cw to the side mentioned above, those were much easier in comparison.

thanks buddy:thumb: I know there's somebody out there saying the same thing:haha:
and you know......you can make an actual "signature" and not have to put your name each time:whistle:just a thought:dunno:

you should polish those rims up. you never get to see shiny wheels these days. a little bling never hurt anything.

Meh, it'd be a pain with those rings on there & they have a clearcoat from the factory that I don't think will polish out, and i'm anti-bling

Nothing of any significance really, I've had it tarped for most of the winter. I want to do some needed suspension changes like lowering it a little, bumpstops, and make better mounts for the front track bar.

I'm also considering replacing the rear section with a bobbed bed. When I built the tube bed I didn't take too much time designing it and just kinda pieced it as I went then rushed to finish it before the next rainy season hit. I just need something for a little more all around use that I could haul my dirtbike or mountainbike in if I need to.

So stay tuned for a bed swap soon.

Edit: I'll be keeping the rear exhaust exit though because that's the best part of the entire truck without a question.

You already replaced the best part of the truck... you think I forgot?
I shall never forget the shackle step bolt... all those times it helped me up... instilled confidence in me as I climbed an otherwise smooth surface... never forget... the shackle step bolt of 2012.:pimp:
