93 Corvette LT1 6-spd

Drove out to the track this morning.

On my third run, I came into the last slalom
and almost spun out. Thought I hit some oil or something, but then I smelt coolant and saw a bunch of steam with a quickness!
By that time I was through the finish and realized I just douched down the course:(
Coasted back to my spot and found this.

Blew the guts out of the top radiatir hose.
I guess the waterpump makes good pressure on the rev limiter lol.

Good ‘ol boy he is, Deon brought me out some 1-1/4” hose and a couple gallons of coolant. Got her fixed up but by that time my run group was finishing up. Drove back home no issue.

So did you earn a special nickname for sliming the track?

I just want to know one thing, how much fun did you have?

I want to try autocross someday too, I need to build the right car for it first. It looks like a lot of fun.

It's a lot of fun with any car, but the better the car the more fun it gets.
I have done it with small front wheel drive Peugeot and Renault, 4wd Subaru, a few mercedes, a 78 monte carlo, an mgb roadster and a Corvair.
The Corvair was the most fun because it handled the best but my monte carlo was the fastest and drifted the easiest
