My names Dan, I am new to this board. I am going to do my build here, becasue i dispise the people on the pirate board. too much drama and PCEs(pirate certified engineners)
Well I am going to start building my 1994 blazer.I was(still am) a toyota guy, but my plans for the toyota are so extensive I wouldnt be wheeling for a while.

Heres some history on it. My Father bought it new in 95'. He drove it till last year.I bought it from him for $4000 and 76,000 miles on it. It is now at 94,000 and its time to put it to trail duty.

Now this build wont be super fast, but i will update as often as possible.Heres the plans-
Rockwells front and rear(no rear steer)
Fox coilovers-2.5's all around
44 tsls
Atlas 2 5.0
reverse 4link front and rear
cage,fuel cell,yada yada yada.
Heres the pics i have so far.

ooooo so nice! no rust. virgin:D
Tomarrow I should be cutting the bottoms off the rocks and building the skids, along with cleaning them up a bit.

I will be running 20" Stazworks wheels. My buddy had me make some rings that weld on the outside lip to help stop the rim from bending.here are the rings. Mine will be bigger though. they are .375 HR and I chamfered them all around to help break it up a bit.

Alright Dan you have an audience....dazzle us....Yota looks great. where you from (state), and do you have a timeframe?

Well i would like to have it done by the beginning of winter. I LIKE SNOW! I am currently back in california from nevada. The feeling I get from the people on this board is good. good vibes, everyone's down to help others. ****ing pirate board is full of people who swear they know everything!

People over there think their sh!t don't stink. But one thing I will say, if you need info that is the place to go.....

Here is the drawing for the 4link. the lowers will not be this close. i need to take some degree out of the brackets. other then that im happy with it.I never use to draw stuff until recently. it takes a little more time and might be annoying,BUT it will save me time and material when i start building my suspension.

Dan the welding man.....whats up man! Hey nice post....I am fairly new here too, as you can see from my poat count. SO when you building me my bumper with all these projects you got going?? By the way....I found a very nice TIG welder for sale that I think I wanna buy....will you come look at it with me and make sure it is not junk? Then you can come to MY house for all my fab needs:wink1:
Anthony says what up foo! He is getting a Jeep Cherokee XJ here pretty quick....you will have to do some work to that one too.:D
I KNOW you have my number, so why dont you call me sometime soon and we can get together about this bumper build. Anyway...talk to you later bro.

Alright well I just finished cutting the bottoms off the rocks'. what I found to be the easiest, was cut the dome off with a torch, then grind the weld with a hard wheel, and use a air hammer to get the base off. Its probly excessive but im anal about stuff. Enough chat, heres the pics-
Before-

After-

I cut the dome off first with oxy-acy-

Then came through with my air hammer, cleaned up pretty good.

Now I am going to draw up my diff covers. Now for those of you who want to do this Im going to make the out side of the cover at 3". This should clear the ring gear just fine.

Thats all for now until I get the covers drawn up. Tomarrow I should have my 4 link brackets and the covers burned out. so stay tuned!

Yeah I wanna watch too. Im looking for as many 4 link designes as possible as I would like to 4 link my blazer one day.

awesome build so far, I like the body style those blazers have... only real problem with them is the suspension/axles. Looks like you got that part covered. :thumb:

looking forward to more!
