94 Z28 coupe

Took Mrs Bent in this out to the Mesa last night, Milberger Farms does a cruise night. There was a small turnout as the weather was looking a bit questionable.
She doddled through their shop and picked up some trinkets, but we didn’t stay and eat
Looked at a few cars. Some were neat, but only snapped one picture (see non/Chevy thread)

Went to dinner on the way back, and meandered home. On the drive back there’s a set of fairly suck train tracks. Slow clear down and roll over it off to one side. Then gave it a bit of throttle to pull up to the speed limit of 45

Apparently the mustang behind me took this as an act of war. Once he got off the tracks he had to rev it up and go fast to show off and pass us on a double yellow

Mrs Bent just laughed and made a few comments about how ours sounds better. We cruised on back home :D

My updates weren’t as cool as others, but did finally make some tuning progress

Finally installed the wbo2, changed all the filters and fluids

Most of the progress came in the form of replacing a bad MAF sensor. The original one to the car was reading 35% off, making the car lean. Every adjustment I made was trying to add more fuel. I had the original one off my first 94, so it’s in there now. I also have an aftermarket one I’ll mess with some day

Once that was replaced, the car was pig rich as per the factory PE settings. Messed with that a lot. The MAF only tuning still needs some clean up, but the speed density side is really close

Someplace in that mess ran the car past 50k miles

AC still works

So one of the things I am trying to accomplish is to get this car to MPH at the strip similar to the first Z I owned (re: ex wife took and wrecked)

That car was tuned by someone else. It gives me a yard stick

For thoughts, found some et slips from my dad driving this car here at Pueblo completely stock. Same air DA, or
close
Averaged out using Heaths app:

So I’m short 15 or so HP against a gear change and exhaust

That car did eventually run 13.9. @101 at 4900’ with a converter change
Don’t get me wrong… a 5.0 mustang with minimal mods could do that in 1988 with a manual trans.
Even with me running it.

We were at see level though, in British Columbia.

Of course the one car I’m talking about did eventually get wrapped around a telephone pole…Lol!

I wasn’t there… I’ve done my share of stupid shit, but not that day.

Just a non relevant story I was thinking about.

Or if you like.

PAD! :haha:
