Okay...I'm even more confudled.

Why did you replace the gears in it with the exact same gear ratio?

I am replacing everything in the truck the gears where first. And since I bought those I figured "f" it I already have them dont feel like going back to the place and getting different ones. After I drop a new engine and transmission later I might get different ones. But as of right now i am not bothered since thats what was in it anyways. This isnt going to be some crazy rock crawler or anything like that. Honestly I am a little worried to put anything bigger than that in anyways. Not tell after the engine and transmission.

Update on truck. A little engine works has been done. Just put 35's on. Trimmed the fenders a bit and they work well. A little scrub at full flex thats it. Going to be putting a 6" lift on in a few months. Mainly been getting the truck ready for the lift. More to come shortly.

We just hacked the fenders so I can make some fender flares. Easier to make it look good while at this height then lifted. And surprisingly there isnt any rub.

I like z71's good daily drivers. But the shop you go to is ripping you off I dont know why they would change your gears to the same as what you already. They saw you coming a mile away they prolly brake cleaned off some old gears they had lying around changed your fluid and told you they made you gears . Id be very skeptical if I were you new gears isnt routine maintenance.

I have yet to see a shop just up and "make" a set of gears.

unless they were like 4500 for the set? they would have had to machine them all to match, plus hardening.... some sketchy something or others

Plus whywould you spend money on gears and then hack up a clean truck to fit 35s even though your lifting it later...makes zero sense

This thread made little sense and he didn't do much to clear up our earlier questions.
