97 sas'sy Sierra/ 80 Cheep 10: tales of a phat block

Awesome stuff man. You can be proud of yourself for that awesome payoff. Great work dude. I have the same goals, and you just confirmed my decision.

Got bored and bolted on my km2's. This kind of gives me some motivation to re do a lot of things on this truck.

I'm thinking this winter I'll swap diffs, I've got a Dana 44 with matching gears to my 6 lug 14 bolt outta the 97.

Maybe 52s up front, slap my 8274 onto the push bar, some motor work.

Picking up a running 350 out of a c50 next week. It might make its way in too.

What's that wet stuff all over the place in that last photo? Haven't seen it in awhile now :(

The KM2's look badass on there with the black rims

I was going to paint the rims white, but I didn't have any paint :haha:, so black they stay.

Yeah it's been pretty dry here for a while. Dusty as Fock :doah:

It pained me to say that I like them black. All mine are white. Martin is going to come in here and question my sanity any moment now.

We're also way dry, we just mowed hay yesterday though and we've got storms that popped up and are rolling south at us. Perfect timing

I got soaked finishing up putting the centre caps on. Was nice and refreshing.

I was gonna paint the rally's white. But I have a feeling the 33s will end up on the white steelies so I can put the hubcaps back one Finding cucv 15x8's is tough up in igloo country :rotfl:

Hell its tough to find them in the states I can't imagine how hard they are for you guys to find!

No real tech update.

Been dicking around with old orangey a bit. Slapped the tach out of my boat in it today. The boss was watching me quite strictly :haha:.

Picked up a 350 out of a c50 from my buddy. I've known about the truck/motor for years. Numbers check out as a 80-85 truck 4 bolt main. Heads are the "993" casting. Not sure what my direction is for the motor. Would like to find some vortec heads if I can find a intake cheap. But time will tell.

I'll prob slowly tear it down and clean it up over the winter in my spare time.

No real crazy pic’s. But I got the front end back together, and some work done on the rear.

Swapped the pro junks out for some rancho 9000s out back, built some mounts for the timbrens(off an 08 k2500).

Took it on a 700k road trip on the weekend. All I gotta say is it drives like a new truck. Well it’s still a lumber wagon, but a plush one at that :pimp:
