97 sas'sy Sierra/ 80 Cheep 10: tales of a phat block

WTF! :angry1:

Metal head! Always have been...I can`t stand horseshit and gunpowder music. Yuck!

Why aren't you sledding!? Too cold for ya!?

Lolololol had to say it guy. I know your music style :saweet:

Guy pretty tough to go sledding when there's no fluff , I mean I'd rather not pound my junk in the cold dirt right now

Got a front spring in to check clearance, looks like I'll have to notch that crossmember. Which really isn't a surprise

I take it everyone with that kit has the same problem or they are they running way different front springs that it doesn't interfere!?

What did Riley do on his?
I think he has alcans but don't remember for sure.

Not that it would make much difference even 4" lift whatever springs are fairly flat and would hit that. :dunno:

Looks like it's spring dependant, 4" spring sounds like it may/may not clear. Also appears some guys running stock 52s have to notch it a bit too.

Don't think there's many people running a stock 47" leaf pack.

Will see how it sits at ride height and go from there I guess

I'm debating going stock 47's when I do my 91 so I'll be curious to see how it goes for you

I did stock 47" to keep mine as low as possible. But mine being a 2wd frame, I didn't have to fight that x-member. I still had clearance issues elsewhere though.

Another thought, what axle are you going to run? That factors into the spacing of the spring. My front brackets are pushed outward more than yours, which would make more clearance.

Well hacked up the crossmember.....decided im gonna huck it in the bush. I'm gonna tie in the 2 mounts that the diff bolted too.

Slapped the springs in, diff in to check some clearances. It will sit slightly lower than pictured by a couple inches or so.
