97 sas'sy Sierra/ 80 Cheep 10: tales of a phat block

You'll have to let me know how it rides. I might be pulling one of my leafs to get a better ride and overall height.

My springs looked like yours when I had the 3 leaf setup, but I also have a heavy 6.5 in mine.

Got that crossmember painted and bolted in. Knocked the old crossmember out and cleaned the frame up, left the old sway bar mounts just in case a guy can use them for something down the road.

Swapped the pitman arm on for the crossover, removing that crossmember sure made it easy compared to last time I changed it :doah::haha:

Gonna have to re run the passenger side brake line behind the crossmember yet.....or maybe just zip tie it up and call it a day

Didn't get a whole lot done. Re routed the passenger side hard line, straightened out the factory brake line mounts and glued them on.

Diff is bolted in, roughly cantered the steering wheel. Should be on its own wheels sometime this week again.

We rollin :burnout:, I'm sure the whole town enjoyed my open headers....screw em. Lol

It's sitting roughly 6" higher than the back, still clears a 7' garage door.

Went for a spin around the block and a small highway cruise. It steers, brakes and rides better than before, so that's a plus!

Need to get it measured for shocks yet. Prob wait till I get the rear end swapped in till I do that.
