97 sas'sy Sierra/ 80 Cheep 10: tales of a phat block

Made a big mess last night......knocked the perches off, cleaned the diff up a bit. Figured now that it's not in a truck that I should smooth out the bottom of the diff a little better. Didn't go full retard m, but I took out a good chunk of material.

Ended up with this today..... rear perches are an 1" higher than stock. Used BDS long add a leafs as well. Got the rear semi-bolted in. Have to get longer Ubolts and figure out some caddy calipers as well

My Guess it's sitting roughly 3-4" over stock or so.

just saw your post, didn't go thru whole thing, but looks pretty good so far!!!! Makes me want to SAS mine NOW!!!!

Easier said than done. Live in an apartment, so no garage, not even level ground to put the truck on. None of my tools are here, no power outlet to plug stuff in. Plus just bought a house, and of course, no garage, Yet. But, at least gonna have a level spot to rip into it. Bout all I need is to rebuild axles and regear. Course that takes money, and just dumped a metric shit ton to get said house....At least my Tundra is lifted....

No real progress. Been working a bit of OT lately.
Wanted some recovery points, had a guy cut me some 1x2" plate on the plasma at work last night. Notched and welded them into the hitch, should look good when I slap a lower valence on with no tow hook cutouts.

Also, prob will be ordering them fancy eldorado calipers from TSM for the 14 bolt. Seems to be the easiest option for a ebrake.

Was hoping to mount them in the frame, but there's to many bolts from the sas brackets. This seemed like an easier alternative. Think my total investment including them shackles is like $10....gotta love when you find junk at work :haha:
