99 6.5 TD Burb, I'm buying unless I get a good reason not to!!!

Ok, so now we need to see the new one.

And sounds like a better deal than the eBay one and that auto track.

all stock,my 94 blazer sport 5.7L gets 20 mpg.if youre easy on em it can get gtood mpg.my buddys 92 sub 5.7 got 18.5.mine is better than the 4liter i had in my lil jeep cherokee that got 17.2 mpg.

I had the same 94 blazer. Stock with Exhaust....could roll from the gas station to the freeway, cruise freeway at 70, roll off the freeway to get gas and check mileage. Never did better than about 17.5......

dh, at the risk of sounding anti-California....oh hell, wait...

Anyway, my '92 got 14.5mpg rolling around Pensacola, FL for 4 months bone stock with stock sized tires and only a K&N in the stock filter housing. On the freeway going back to Michigan and then out to San Diego I got over 20mpg pretty much the whole way with that TBI 350 and 700R4.

After a few months in Cali though, feeding it that Cali low emissions goo filled gas, my mileage dropped. Lucky to get 13 with the stock configuration. I truly believe the quality of your gas out there due to all the BS additives it's required to have messes with it's energy content or something.
I got better mpg after I returned to Michigan but never did see the "pre-3.5 years in Cali" mpg again.

Looks good with alot of the good upgrades already done.

Yes, and many of the upgrades are durability upgrades instead of performance ones. Low compression pistons, main brace, head studs, oiling mods, cooling mods.
In the name of durability I might even drop the boost down to 15 or so. I'm probably fooling myself, but its nice to think that I can be responsible once in a while.

Yeah, who am I kidding?
