get in touch with yourself!
Please don't tell him anything that would encourage him to think "touch" and "yourself" in the same paragragh

Some how procrastination and a wifes to-do list jumped me forward today. I was only able to escape a couple of times up to the garage today. I was going to cut up my lower B support that goes in between the bottom of the tub and slider and extend them. I always thought that it was short by more than it was when I went out there on my first trip. Five hours later and trip three up to the garage to accomplish something, I came to figure the 1/4” gap that now exists on both the drivers and pass side were perfect for down the road when I really try to get me doors and fenders lined up. I figured I’ll just use metal shims if they need tightening up then. The last thing I wanted to do is lock in the height and leave myself with no adjustment later. So...... I’m done without doing anything! Lol.

The only thing I can figure is maybe take some time to see what it’s going to take to get the front fender wells in. I’m guessing there will be a lot of shifting going on up there and I’d hate to do that on a freshly painted frame.

So this week, I’ll play around with those and make some kind of contraption to hold up the body. I have tons of leftover, twisted shit wood that I could shoot together along with some casters. I already warned the wife that the Blazer body is going to take up her spot down by the house. I was doing house work when I said it, so I got away with it. :D

So there it is. A non-productive, productive weekend. :saweet:

It’s Neers!

And Cheers boys!!

Lol... I should be drinking, but I guess not today. I’m actually really nervous about this for some reason. Actually tearing it apart , to put it back together.... even if it is everything except the tub. It’s been such a long build that I feel like I’m missing something, or didn’t do something crucial??

I so want to see all of the tube work bolted to the frame and pristine drivetrain all freshly painted looking like some kind of weird buggy sitting in the driveway. I might even go to the junkyard and cut up a portion of a dash and brake area of a firewall to bolt it on with a couple of tubes. There should be no reason I cant do some roastie burnouts without the tub. Lol

Feeling like I have forgotten something is par for the course over here...

Happy Easter, everyone!

Spent a little time out in the garage hacking up the pass side inner fender. In and out she came a ton of times till I just cut a 6” hole in the top to use as a handle and a look through. Over all, I’m pretty happy that it fit so well. I really didn’t have a clue if they’d even slide up there.

The holes are pretty big as the continuous hacking proceeded, but I think the lines will work. I’ll take it back out and strip the undercoating from the inside and clean it up, then start adding some metal back to close it up around the tubes some. There will still be a bunch of hammer and dolly work at the bottom where I actually cut the fender opening back to make the inner lay correctly. It had to come back over 2”s initially this morning, but I’m pretty close now.

I thought that maybe there was an actual update...
Nope, kinda like mine, just some old hard soles sittin' around...
.

Nah, no progress as of late. My Mother unexpectedly passed some weeks back. Flew back to Minnesota for a week. I’ve been playing catch-up with the normal spring yard work and just normal contractor stuff. One week gone pretty much somehow equaled one month behind in work. Still trying to figure out that one as we push forward.
