I just wish that the actual sound would come out on the recording. It just never comes out right.
let's just hope that three times is the one.
It did leave me with a lot of time to check out parts and catch up on dumb movies...
I also need to find an Xj shaft, buy one or go with a Borgerson.
Thanks Rene. I sure do like the work that they did.I just wish that the actual sound would come out on the recording. It just never comes out right.
Surgery went well yesterday. Didn't get a wink of sleep last night tho.let's just hope that three times is the one.

Jess said that the rear should be done next week sometime and the front the following week. Something on the front is on back order or something. I guess it really doesn't matter to much on that though for the time being.
If I do plan on driving this a time or two before she gets blown apart again, I need to work on the brakes and steering. With the brakes, I want to install the hydro unit, but I need to fab or find a pump bracket for that to go in. That is, after I figure out the mounting of the hydro brake pedal rod and unit.
I guess I can come clean on the front end too. Back forever ago I ordered the cross and drag from ORD being I knew I bought a GM 60 off of pirate. After sending pics back forth to Chris, she ended up being a dodge. I guess the only way to know on this year was a measurement from king pin to pin. Turns out it's something like an inch or two shorter.. So I either need to send these back or get them cut down and tapped again.. Who knew? I sure as he'll didn't.I also need to find an Xj shaft, buy one or go with a Borgerson.
That would leave a ton of welding, a million loose bolts, radiator mount, gas tank mount, new inline tube tranny and gas lines, e brake mounting with cables and the minimum wiring for some hot laps. My neighbor is a cop, so he said he would race me, try to catch me going around the circle (round block) with his lights going, so I guess I won't need any for the test runs. His should be sufficient
I know I'm missing some things, but that's the jist of it, I think, for some hot laps.

Dukes of Hazard style!

Blazer Sounds awesome! Hurry up and heal... get her done.

In for the cop chase video...
great tube work on the exhaust Mike, they done good! Are the pipes 3"?
And what the heck is that archaic fuel mixer on that sweet BBC anyway?
As far as the traction bar.. I dont know if you could get it in next to the driveshaft now, but keep in mind that for good articulation it needs to allow the axle to move on both planes of movement not just up and down, as in sled pulling or drag racing...Kert's antiwrap bar works great in this application, I've seen others with a compromised setup that limits movement by not having the pivot for the bar to move on.
your making good progress brother!

Hopefully I can figure out something. I still remember the pic when you were welding yours on. I thought you were a god at the time for being able to weld onto your axle...And no, I'm not saying that your still not a god.

This thing is seriously sweet though. I am in awe of the fabrication and the time you have put into this. Hopefully one day I can get to that point.
You will get there. Heck, I ended up somewhere with all the help from you guys. It just takes time..

no other way to do it.. That was between smack talk tho.![]()

Perfect... Thanks Ash...
I had Sean looking his morning too. That was between smack talk tho.![]()

PM incoming...![]()

I'll need to see what happens on Thursday. Hopefully, this thing will be off and I can start to pretend again, I know how to weld.
