Me personally I would have cut the body mounts off and rebuilt them higher.

What would that help me with? Only make 1" mounts instead of 2.5's? Or would you raise them all the way up so there was no adjustment.

I think Eric's thinking you aren't constrained to making the mounts round since they're solid and not rubber anymore. Building a new mount up higher from plate would let you remove the round part of the mount altogether, or just leave room for a shim?
I am with Eric on this seems like a ton of work to just fill in the space that the factory made.

I am done with the dishes. Now onto to changing everything and doing what I tell ya too. The masses agree with me. I have quoted them below. Also Greg said they were heavy and if that guy is talking about weight on a truck build things have gotten way out of hand.
Another move the mounts vote! Either that or use that as a prototype to get some machined out of Aluminum.

I understand maybe using the existing brackets and moving them up some, but what a pain to move them. Just getting to #2 and #3 I'd need to remove the sliders, in turn removing the cage mounts for A and B, that are holding the body up.
I don't know, using some free scrap from the pile, standing at the workbench, drinking a beer seems like less work?
And Jess, the pucks are out of the equation for now. It's a more time then money type thing till I sell the Servpro franchise.

Because you built everything around them already... I think I would go with standing at the bench drinking neer idea!
You already are working with 1/4" plate. Torch the rivets off and take the whole mount off. You could slice down the center and plate the inside and raise it up, but that may look out of place with all the awesome fab work you have done already. In my mind it would be easier to cut two triangles and a square and weld them together. Let me reboot my computer to windows, and i'll draw something up real quick.
This is what I was thinking.
As promised with speed holes and what not. Didn't know if you wanted weld on or bolt on so I left it blank. Let me know and I'll make the changes. If you give me actual dimensions I can make it exact and give you the dxf file. Just a visual of what eric and I were thinking.

After talking to some of the brothers, behind the scenes, I was shown the errors in my ways. As one so nicely put it...... "They were not my best effort". Trust me, that was a lot nicer than what the other big boned guy said about my efforts.
So, next time, I'm bringin' my "A" game.
And thanks for the drawings, Jess. Looks like I'm banging nails this weekend, so I might not get a chance to move forward, but if I do, I'll get you guys some pics.
