I'm not so sure on the finned lid idea. seems like it might be overkill on the fins. tough to tell without seeing it all together though. :dunno:

Mike,

What manufacturer is that air cleaner cover?

I kind of like the combo of the rough cast mixed with the polished raised ribs... It probably one of those things that you just have to experiment with to see what colors looks best.

Something from a bridge:haha::haha:. I have to agree that looks Beefy,Solid Stout, whatever you want to call it. Good thing your putting in a big block:sign11:. I did not realize your bender was right on the street. And don't worry about those welds it's your signature on all that Built not Bought Beauty:waytogo:.

SBD,

I agree with ya. The welds do give that, " I sure as chit didn't buy this off of the net", type of feeling. :D

Here is a little pron for you guys. The first shipment came in yesterday, all of the rest will be drop shipped. It sure is nice having Summit in Sparks. One day, and it's here..

I now have no clue when I'm going to be able to work on the rig again. Kinda figures, get some bling and run out of time. Work is blowing up right now, so that is a really good thing though.

And a new sticker for the beer fridge... :saweet:

I think you need a better selection of LONG screwdrivers..... :)

are those the 10.4's? that's what I'm gonna run on the K5, but couldn't justify the honkin wires for the DD... dig the waterneck too...

It wouldn't hurt but it's probably not necessary because most likely the thermostat will restrict it more than that.

On the fuel pump pushrod. Does it have a bronze tip? It's hard to say from the picture. You may want to check with your cam manufacturer to see if you need one?

Man, great list of parts! I finally got caught up on your build. So....you are going to building those sliders for all off us right?! Ha. looks great!

Good point Heath. I'll check it out. :waytogo:

With that water neck and initial start up... would you run the stat? I seems to me that you wouldn't want to. This would let the water flow from start up and it might be easier to see a leak.. Don't know, just thinking.

Thanks man.

Can you imagine what the shipping would be on those sliders.:doah: Still haven't put them on the scale, but I'm betting on the heavy side.

Alright honest question. After the start up, the plan is the engine cage/ shock hoops and seats with the seat bars and console. That means that I need to start ordering some more stuff.....besides the engine trinkets..

What so ya think of these in a 1st gen. Good, bad.... go kick my own ass???:haha:

I think the seats would look good in a first gen. If you can sit in one and think about how far you have to move your body in front of the side bolsters to slide into proper position and make sure they are wide enough for anybody who will be driving or riding.

Yeah this is what kinda got me.

As a rule of thumb, the VX2000 will fit up to a 42-44 inch waist while still comfortably fitting smaller drivers.

I think that would work out good snow wheelin with thicker clothes on. That, and I'm not as slender as I once was. Still, really good lookin'......just not slender any more..:D
