Thanks. I should have circled back on this too. It took me a bit, but I figured that out, you’re right, they’re Astro Van seats. They’re doing the job though, so they’re just getting some nice black covers. LOL
They are nice high backs, probably overlooked as far as junkyard seats go!

I’m guessing I did something wrong but I can’t figure out how to get the new vent window gasket to lay right. Anyone have suggestions?

When I got this K5 the electric windows would barely go up and down. I put all new felt in and same problem. So I just bought a set of motors and new regulators. I installed one and I SWEAR it is worse now! The scissors and track are greased. All I can think of is that this new felt needs some kind of lube. Has anyone had experience with this that can recommend a lube for the felt track?
More likely is low amperage getting to the motors. Could be as simple as corroded, tarnished spade connectors.
Unfortunately lube is not a good thing on felt.
It's supposed to be dry, but new ones are tight and need to settle in.
LMC truck has a relay kit that will give your window motors all the juice. I can't speak from personal experience though, I've got manual windows.

When the felts sit in heat, they get better. So you should be good in about June.
What Wes said about the amperage is usually the issue with most of these. I cleaned all of the contacts and ran larger wires.

It would actually be low voltage, but that’s a just a technicality.
Try hooking 12v directly to the motor (preferably with a fuse inline). That way you can see if the switch is adding resistance to the circuit. Depending on which way you connect the pos. and neg. will determine which direction the motor will turn.

Gotcha. All the switches are new too but the wiring harness is original and the posts could need cleaning. Also the harness plug to the motor. I think you’re right that it’s worth wiring direct to see how it does. The front of the window seems to be having trouble sliding through the felt though too. I’m going to try to get some stuff to get that more slick.

When you greased the tracks did you clean out all the old ‘grease’? The original grease turns to a solid after time and makes it hard for the rollers to do their job.
