A/C Delete - York Install

When I was playing with my set up I left mine off the first time. The pump didn't want to spin in time with the belt, it was slipping pretty bad. Once I installed that then it built pressure!!! If you don't have it then the pump has to overcome all of the pressure that is there. Granted if your leaving the tank uncapped or unplugged I would say go for it! Worst could happen is a loud air sound!!!!!!

Actually I think I've found my problem... Was out going through it, and I think I pulled a classic "see everything but the obvious" moment. I noticed while it was running that oil was spraying out the back of it, wondered how the hell that could happen. So I pulled the compressor out and nothing wrong. Stared at it for a second and well, realized I didn't have the o-ring on the outlet, only on the inlet. So ya, as soon as it was building any pressure it was just spraying the rest out the back. Got dark so I'll remedy that and give it a shot tomorrow...

Success! Well, sort of. Around 100 psi I noticed that I had a small leak in the tank I was using. No worries there though I've got another one that I'll hook up here eventually.

I'm not sure the unloader is necessary. Once I noticed the leak I obviously shut it down and pulled my relief valve to bleed the pressure off. Once I'd cleared the tank though, I pulled the plug out of my check valve to release any pressure in there and there was none. My guess is that this compressor doesn't have an internal check valve, so once it's in an off cycle the pressure releases out the intake.

I'll finish the setup and let you know once I've run it for a while, see if I hit any snags. So far so good though!
