Last parting shots of the garage build, it's as done as it's gonna get till next year, now it's time to get back to the blazer thang.

looks good, nice to have a garage large enough to do some stuff in.

Tell me about the narrow roll up door that I think I'm seeing in the third pic - haven't seen something like that before.

We store wood under the deck, the garage covered up all access, so that's the new way to get our wood.

Blazer is now where it will no doubt stay for awhile...:D

Added a pic for ya Yukon...got wood? I do. :haha:

I can`t wait to own property and have my own garage. SO jealous. Looking good dude! The roll up door that gives access to your wood pile is pretty neat too!

Back to the blazer stuff...

A couple quick shots of where I'll be starting from.

So, you'll be done with the body work by...next week, right?

Decided to use this frame instead of one that's already done, basically easier this way.

Pulled the tub off the frame, well...pulled the frame out from under the tub anyway.

POR is ordered but now I need to insulate the garage so it holds heat 'in' long enough to use it.

I like the use of the hoist coming in from the tranny tunnel to lift in the center. Pretty nice idea.

Thanks, there's front & rear chains at the body mount points with one chain down the center between the two.

Took some shuffling to get it to balance just right, the come-along hanging from the trusses is only there to steady things, it's only holding up around 10/15 pounds of weight.

It was pretty tippy, side to side so I used two ratchet straps that went from the rockers to the top of the hoist chain, worked really well.

From there it was just using a floor jack under each axle and pulling it out from under the tub, then lowered the tub onto the metal saw horses and we were done.

Gotta say that having my 11yr old son out there to help is great, hangin' with my boy in the new manspace is it's own reward. :)

Coulda' been the 9% Canadian barely pop I was working on, not sure but here's what I ended up with at the end of the day.

Started with black POR then settled on chevy orange for the top coat.
