I'm replacing my r4 compressor, dryer, pf condensor, compressor hose. I will flush the evaporator and hard line.

What I found on utube shows to use pag150. Add 2oz to compressor, 2oz to evaporator, 1oz to condensor and 3oz to the accumulator. That's the clearest info I can find.

Turn compressor by hand to prevent hydrolock, make sure to lube all green orings, blue orifice. I've got the correct pressure switch. Suck it down, verify no leaks for 30 minutes, suck it 45 minutes longer to insure all moisture is out, and then recharge. I think I'm looking for 30 low and 200 high.

What have I missed, overlooked, got rwong, or need a heads up.

I'll be diving in to this as soon as it's cool enough to get a few hours in. Thanks y'all!

Pretty good list. Only thing I do, not on list, is drain any compressor, before I add the desired amount.
Little late for you now.
How did it go ?

30 psi might be a little on the low side. Pressure change with ambient outside temp and humidity.

Had to wait on a vacuum pump from the parts store, but everything went just like I had practiced in my head. I've got frosty cold air. I drove it the 40 mile round trip to return the pump. It's quiet, cold, and didn't blow up or break something else on the way. I'll go to get groceries later and see if it still works after sitting overnight.
