They are totally staying those colors with a little elbow grease to shine em up. Not like alot though. They are completely presentable as is.
Picked up a 10" drop cowboy bumper for it too.

Please tell me you're going to find an old school winch bumper with the big brush guard!

Is that a lesion hemorrhaging from the side?

I've found it. I just need to con them out of it. Not perfect but that's what I'm looking for.
As a matter of fact, I'm gonna drop by today.

damn you Scuba Steve. you're stealing everything I planned on doing to the stepside. :D

So this is the cam I bought. Now its black fridee and im looking to buy some parts for the top of this thing. Ive been referred to the air gap manifold, however by catalog one is not listed. Are the old port pattern and dimensions the same?

Leaning on an avs2 carb 800cfm?
Msd streetfighter?
Not sure what to do for wires?

At what point does quality and being a cheap ass hurt performance? Are stock ignition components ok for this?

I appreciate the help here. Im sure there are better parts out there that I dont know about.

That cam is exactly what I bought but I dont know the corroborating parts that work together with it.
Like why put 4340s and super joints in your 60 if you only have 37s?

I dont want to waste anything on performance gains ill never use.

By the video he went with fresh springs to go with the cam. The carb choice was only a 650cfm unit but he advised at that power level it didn't need more. He's tested bigger carbs on other gen 6 bbc builds and until you go to bigger heads a bigger carb does not bring more power.

He did use an Edelbrock air gap dual plane intake on this test.

The guy in the video has been dyno testing stuff for years. Pretty knowledgeable. The combo with stock heads looks really reliable.
