well @bnow48 that is your call... if I had to start over with a new project truck my list goes... 1 tons, gears, detroits, xover steering, rear disc...
when I was younger and had 33s on my truck.. I had to nail my brakes on the highway @70mph.. my rear locked up and slid out from under me. Almost wiped out.. now I'm on rear disc and stock everything.. I have not done an adjustable prop valve.. I can fly down the road and nail my brakes and they do not lock up but they stop very hard. I like that as it feels they are breaking right before they should lock up...
to each is their own and from the mud and goo that I get in my drums, disc is just way easier for some things...
