Advice on buying 1969 c10

If the inside is not beat up, that is probably a pretty nice one.
You need to get that truck! It already has twice pipes!
:D

But seriously, it could have the sport bumper too, instead of a step bumper.

That’s a nice solid project!
I don’t care what you pay for it as long as you end up with it. Good luck. :waytogo:

I've seen much worse trucks the same vintage & "apart " on craigslist and FB marketplace for 3000+ bucks and they sold rapidly..
Having a clear title, and no rust makes a truck like that a hot seller here in the northeast..many prefer to "build their own" from a clean rolling chassis and sheet metal than spend thousands more for a "restored" truck that may have some things the buyser doesn't care for and will end up changing anyways..or having to fly to the desert southwest to drag one home..

factory a/c and short bed c10 all premium adds, does it have front disc brakes? they were an option. Probably get 5k for it with all the part in the bed on a trailer at Pomona Swap or Long beach.

We’ll see how it goes. I bet it falls through and she gets cold feet to sell. I offered her 2.5 but can do $3k as my max. Her dad told her it’s worth $4-5.
We’ll see. I bet it falls through as these things usually do. Hahahahaha.

It’s pretty disorganized and parts all over, bed has those cuts in them. Etc etc. $3k is fair and resonable for its condition. if they want more $$, I said you can try selling to somebody back east. Or put it back together. I can give you 3k now and get it next weekend.

Plenty of longbeds to cut up for $3-7k that are running

I hope you get a deal on it. Don’t sweat over the holes in the box, if your willing to cut down a long box those little squares are cake! I bet there is 100 guys on CK5 that could weld those up in a afternoon easy.

Yes, but along with the bed holes, it doesn’t have the original hood or passenger front fender or grill. They are aftermarket. I guess her sister “bumped” into something but the frame remained straight.

That just adds to the story.
