Advice on buying 1969 c10

The truck I bought comes with cowl hood, which I don’t like.
This will work for my 69’. Does it look correct?

That hood look like it came off of a '71 to '72 to me because I don't see the holes for the emblem on the front center. The seller also has a bumper listed which is for '71/'72. The hood will work, but I would check it closely before paying that much for one. I always look to see if the center rib is straight, as well as checking for body filler and rust. Those hoods aren't terribly prone to rust from my experience, though.

Id be tempted to find one off a 67 with the slope. You are right about the rust on those hoods they usually look solid as far as rust goes.

I like the 67-68 hood too. Unfortunately, the whole front clip has to be replaced to make it work.

That’s why I think it’s a re-pop and not an original, the seller doesn’t know for sites Most of the reproduction hoods I see for 69 go through 72 as well. With 67-68, 68 I think. But 67 for sure has the sloped front while later it was squared.

Because it’s missing the emblem holes but I wanted to make sure, with that said I do see repop hoods with emblem holes as well..
