Fresh air, not fresh tree branches and pine needles. After a trail run now my bed looks like I'm hauling mulch for the garden.
Be an entrepreneur and sell it to the fine folks out there in corn countryFresh air, not fresh tree branches and pine needles. After a trail run now my bed looks like I'm hauling mulch for the garden.
Those numbers are for, in the words of the article, "all-out, no-compromise performance". Most times the smaller intake tube won't affect your power.I haven't been able to find a good cone filter for the can on my single intake yet. After following someone down a dirt road, I get dust in the air tube behind the filter. I'm sure there's a good one out there, but I haven't found it.
Also, if I'm reading correctly, I'm not getting enough air through my 4" tube? Should it be 4.5 or 6.5", I'm seeing both numbers in you equations. Based on that, though, I'm going to have to scrap the idea I had to use the intake/filter box off a 5.3 I have sitting in the garage.
6,000 rpm? Since the big block went in I don't think my tach has swung past 5,000 rpm except trying to get stuck in the snow above Central City. That’s also figuring running at 6000 rpm. Most trucks also have that much restriction in the exhaust

Ouch...But still funny. The old gnome must have got a full night's rest to be that sharp today. At 4001 it shears the distributor gear pin.
