All things Drag Racing.

I agree, they were the same shit in different piles. But Dyno Don and Glidden are legends in the pro-stock world. Though Don was cooler when he drove a '62 409 bubble top Chevy.

My father used to drive a pinto for another guy for a while back in the day. He's the same guy that signed my NHRA license form as a witness the day I did my runs for NHRA validation. Little cars with big engines can be pretty fast.

That makes me even happier w my car and its 50 yr old technology!
A friend of mine has an original 70 LT-1 Vette and ran 13.61 in 1986 setting a national record in NCCC competition. We tore the engine down at the track for proof of legality in factory stock. He has owned the car since new, so he had no reservations about it being legal. The guy who put up the protest had to pay $150 for the teardown. 1 cylinder head had to come off to measure everything…all legit factory LT-1.

Could you imagine standing there? Would have been so cool.

I’ve been out at Famoso numerous times for the CA hot Rod reunion and the Match Meet where they did the Cacklefest with the nostalgia cars. It’s truly a bucket list item

It’s easier to inhale Nitro when they light ‘em all off at once
