All things Drag Racing.

I picked 18.12 for that one..
that R8 was surprising!

I've seen those R8's run on 1320 video...I guessed 7.90 on it. The Cissio Porche was a lot slower than I thought it should be. 900 RWHP and didn't creep into the 9's was surprising. Cleetus has a similar Porche, but way closer to stock...and his runs 10.50's all day. the Cissio Porche managed a 10.22. :dunno:

After recording identical 0.017-second "packages," both win lights illuminated and, as the time slip shows, the winner's "arrow" appeared in both lanes. Likewise, the "1st" and "Margin of Victory" measurements show both lanes as the victors.

Bob Brockmeyer, the designer and owner of Compulink Timing Systems, was quoted as stating this was the fourth he has seen on his systems since 1984 and the true win-margin would need to be less than two TEN-MILLIONTHS of a second to cause the computer to present two win lights. The 0.0006 win-margin shown on the slip was an anomaly. Since there was no loser in the race, both drivers advanced to the third round.

10 dead 7 and 13 dead 4, that's a close one!

That's why they started going out to 4 digits, but it looks like it was still a tie!

I thought in that situation the person with the best light was awarded the win....

I thought it was higher mph?
That could be in true in the heads up pro classes, I'm not sure. That wouldn't fly in the sportsman classes, it's about the driver and not the faster car advantage.

Based on that article they let them both go to the next round, I've never heard of that before, might have to ask my cousin about that one.
