Just some drag racing stuff from rte. 66 raceway this weekend…
Great wearher conditions for Saturday and Sunday. DA of 1069’-1700’. Kalitta set a new track record of 3.661.
Including a freak duststorm that blew in. Couldn’t see 500’ and covered everything in a sheet of dirt.

Those coolers are nuts, any idea what they are?

It’s a drag and drive car, so I’m guessing the big one is radiator and then engine oil and trans oil in front. It’s a turbo car, but I don’t know where the intercooler is???
Tom was pretty busy, I only asked to take a front end pic. He wasn’t as agreeable about it as the others (it meant walking into their pit area to do so) but he did say “yeah”. I let it go at that.

You are likely correct, I was just wondering what size that radiator is.

Also, they don't usually run intercoolers when they burn methanol for the race. The methanol provides the cooling effect.

We planned on being at Milan for the Pure Stock Exhibition at the end of may but the rain killed that.
Had heard rumors that they let someone with a stockish red C2 play!
