All things Drag Racing.

Repost. But I will let it slide.

That is so true. Watching it is nothing like participating. Making a pass, especially in an actual race or when you get a new personal best, is exponentially more fun that watching even the fastest racers go down the track.
This is why I have never been a good watcher. I just do not enjoy it. That goes for any type of racing. Once you have done it, or driven those vehicles, watching just does not do it for me. The technology and fabrication is great to see in the pits. Even as a kid, I spent more time in the pits talking to the racers, than watching the races.

That's true as well, when I do watch, because the entry fee is crazy high or something, I really only watch the people I know, and then I just hang out in the pits and help them the rest of the time.

I have the same attitude about that as well as sports.
I can't watch a game, unless it's my kids because I am proud and want to be supportive

I am the same way. I don't watch pro sports because I don't know anyone playing in them. I wrestled for 10 years in school, and watched my friends play football in high school and college, but after that I don't really watch anymore. Though now my nieces and nephews and soon my children will be playing, so that's worth it.

Last year was a new personal record on not paying any attention to pro sports. I ordered a pizza for the family, and the guy shows up, and he says, "How is the game?" I said, "what game?", and he started laughing. So I said "is it superbowl sunday already?". Turns out it was, and the game was already started, ha ha.

Usually I know the game is coming up but don't know whos in it. But not even knowing the game was already on, I am proud of that. :D
