Jeff, how does one go about seeing the Keller collection? I'd have a field day...![]()
I don't have their number, but they open the doors by appointment. They don't charge admission, but have a place to drop a donation that they give to local charities.

It is part of a very large private collection (Keller Collection in WI). The collection is mostly John Deere and lowest serial number he can get. He has many serial number 1 tractors and experimental tractors.
Forgot about this thread, my recent tractor purchase sitting next to mom and dads 8070’s. Kinda neat my 5488 and his 8070 are both 1984’s, biggest of the last series of each brand, and both front wheel assist.

You bought a 5488? Nice. Sadly our last 5488 has made way to another magnum.
Made me a little sad, but damn do the newer Magnums shift so much nicer.
I would love a magnum but the 88 series are the best looking tractor ever, and this one I took a gamble and bought broke. A $33 spring later and I jumped the value about $9000
Blasphemy!
The 88s don't hold a candle stick to a 66!
Yes, I like the 66 over the 86, I'm just kinda a un- cabbed kinda guy.
I do love the 66’s as well! Something about having AC with the weather we’ve had most of the summer makes it worth it to me
. Not the biggest or nicest tractor, but it works great for us to be able to move some dirt quicker than a shovel and wheelbarrow, haha. I plan on getting a mower attachment and a box blade for the back 3 point to keep my property looking fresh and so clean clean, haha
I know tractor shows all look alike.
But that sure looks like Old Threshers. The Roadroller and the Reeves aren't common machines. Though I guess they might travel around.![]()
@streetrodchev
Any chance you knew my great uncle Maynard "Pete" Petersen? He was at one point the president of the Northern Illinois Steam Power Club, and director-at-large of the National Threshers Association.
He's been dead 6 or 7 years now, and was in his 90's when he died...
