And it continues build thread. Dead.. sent to the scrapyard

Hope that turns out good for you!
Were did you get the injectors from?

I`ll be watching.
Good luck with it!!

Hey Jess, sounds like a whopper of a bill, if you would post up some pics of the replacement somewhere.. I'd like to see what it involves, being a Diesel noob, I got no idea, other than they're close to the oil brackets and belt gaskets right?

Well my injectors didn't come in so I put several hours into this thing.

Cutout engine cage and started rework.
Also finished leveling / framing the bed all 6 square feet of it

I also picked up a drop piece of sheet steel so the fenders are done

what do you have planned for the engine cage Jess?

Pretty simple, but hard to explain. I used kerts cage flanges at the bottom of the hoop. So it will bolt to the frame instead of being welded. I will use two more sets of the cage flanges to tie into the bars that go to the main cage. So basically I can remove the hoop when I need to pull the engine, also the rework gives me more than enough clearance to run the windstars. You can see the flanges at the bottom of the hoop. If the hoop looks uneven, its because it is. Where I it mounts, the frame is not even on both sides :)

the removal idea sounds good, do you plan on doing shock mounts off the cage?

Engine cage is done, not perfect but it works. Installed the radiator, and wind stars. Got my fuel lines ran and tied to the frame with p clips. Made a box for the console, and installed the speakers.

I also did little things like mount the shifter, attach the linkage. Now what sucks is I have to go to Cali for a training class. So no working on this thing for awhile

I also need to redo my exhaust as the 205 is clocked up almost flat and blocks where my passenger pipe used to be. Anyone have any recombinations for a 2.5" kit with all sorts of bends

i think that was the right way to do it. glad it worked out.

where in california are you going to be?

Jess, I used 2.5" and ordered a bunch of stuff from here:

.

Thanks dave. I'll look into that site. I am running dual 2.5" and its way overkill for my little smallblock, so I don't really need mandrel bends. I may just hack it together with orielies bends and stuff. All the little stuff is killing my pocketbook.

TRUE...
Oh do I know what you mean there!

It all adds up fast, but it looks like it's going to be very capable when you are ready to wheel it Jess. Are you going to try to keep the true duals? Is there room?

I believe I can keep the duals, I will just have to do some creative exhaust routing. And thanks heath :thumb: Hopefully one day the wife will let me buy another rig to throw a huge big block in and just maybe I can keep up with you :)
