And it continues build thread. Dead.. sent to the scrapyard

FYI Merchant sells a injector replacement "kit" of all the things yo would ever need while doing the injectors on an LB7. My brother got the kit and it was redundant to some of the things that were package with his injectors but it made things a lot easier. No waiting to get parts that you didn't know you needed. It was also excessive in a few areas like the rubber upper valve cover gasket? it's a reusable type gasket stock and he sends a new one but I am guessing it's one of those things that he just threw together so you had anything and everything you might need.

Yah I had everything I thought I needed, until I snapped the stud on the injector. I could possibly reuse the return line bolts, but I decided to play it safe. Already have extra coper washers, and return line seals.

Finished the passenger side tonight minus the Pcv valve hose which orielies have me the wrong size.

First pic is the injector that I snapped the stud on also this is an example of a clean injector

Next is why my truck ran Soo crappy

Waiting on my last injector and the DMAX will be done. Drivers side sucked, way too much stuff in the way. Had to buy 3 different pry bars in order to get the first and the last injector out. Hopefully it shows up today and will be running by tonight :)

Good luck!

Would you do it again your self if you had to?

That dirty injector pic is nasty.

If I had to do it again, I would sell the damn truck and buy a new one!!!:haha::haha: The job really isn't that bad, just time consuming. Either that or do like russ is going to do, and lift the cab off.

Jess, were you using a 1/2" drive ratchet on a 1/4" stud? Bummer, at least he took care of you. You'll be glad to get it done so you can crank it up more!

Just finished buttoning everything up. She purs like a kitten. It has better throttle response and all the power back. Should have done this awhile ago. Now I can move on to the play toy.

Yup she drives like a new truck again. The idle is so smooth. My whole dash used to vibrate, not any more. So far all together I have about 18 hrs in the replacement, that includes all the trips to autoparts store for hoses and tools. So for me working by myself I think it went fairly well.
