nice Jess, glad to hear the duramax is back in tune again!

I look at those plasma cut parts and I can see the torch going through the pattern for each of the rockrings...cut, press OK, cut, press OK, cut, press OK, cut, press OK, cool!

Dave i'm sure you know how it feels to meet a deadline and get things going. I feel soo much better that its back together and working. Gonna drive it all this weekend to make sure I didn't miss anything. Now I can get back to the rig, and get some serious progress in. PS don't tell my wife I get a core deposit back.:whistle:

Its our secret Jess...I've yet to meet your wife, but if the day comes, my mouth is shut...

Hope the test weekend goes good for the Dmax, I'm sure it will. With the price of gas now more than diesel, sure makes a Cummins sound good again.

Hopefully you will meet her sometime when we wheel this summer. And we will wheel this summer!!

Well I have put about 100 miles on the dmax. I need to check my balance rates again. It idled soo smooth for awhile but now Its surging a bit. It still has way more power than it used to, but the surging concerns me a bit. Gonna check for leaks, and all the fluids tomorrow. It could be nothing, but I want to make sure everything is right! Hasn't thrown any codes so I guess thats a plus.

Got the rear mostly done today. Shaved the 14bolt razor back, and checked clearance on the flatback 60. Got the cap installed. Just need to buy the drill bit so I can tap the cap.

Maybe now?

I love the way the rig is turning out :waytogo: I am doing something very similar to my K30, my goal is a combination of your bed design and the ORD bed on their UA rig.

Great work :thumb: and I will be stealing ideas, so thanks :D

Nice Pics Jess....hey I really like the tube work in the back, looks fantastic!

Thanks Dave it's different and I like it.

I got more stuff done today.

Dmax: found out that one of the high pressure lines was leaking and mixing with the oil. I noticed my oil pressure at idle was only 25-30 psi when normally I am at about 55-60. Checked the oil and sure enough it was thin and smelled like diesel. Pulled the lines cleaned the fittings, re torqued and checked again. No leaks. Changed the oil, now she idles at 80psi cold 60 warm. Idle is nice and smooth again.

On the play toy :

Painted the rear cage
Checked the backlash of the 14. I'm at .006. I wanted to check even though I etched marks in the collars.
Tapped the top of the razor back for a fill port.

Put 2 more coats of black on the bed and sides.

And made a switch panel for the dash. I'll be making a wiring harness his week as I'll be in Chicago all week again.
