And it continues build thread. Dead.. sent to the scrapyard

Trans is getting all new "soft" parts good for 350hp. Possibly a new pump and a new stock converter. Gonna try and sell the high stall converter on craigslist. Not going crazy with new input shafts etc. I will probably step up to a th400 when I go BBC.

Hey ugh...... Jessie have you seen this yet

Well sort of an update.. Decided not to sell it, but did sell my tires. Eagle mark and tunerpro helped me pinpoint why my TBI motor was running like crap and now she is running real well. On the look out for new used tires 38-42". So yah that's it, I plan on fixing things I rushed like bump stops etc and wheel this summer before my kid shows up.

trans in Jess? I see you talking about going to the dunes but I don't see any updates? When exactly was Charlotte born?

And it continues build thread. Antiwrap done, almost ready to wheel!

Yah Trans is in and works great. Not taking it to the dunes. Bringing my dads k5. Just have a short list if things to get done. Here's a pic of his k5 next to my rig in my barn.

Charlotte was born on 7/9

Heath I thought of you when I took the shocks off last week. I did your shock test where you slammed it into the concrete. No resistanceon compression, and no rebound at all

Also you can see the rust free tub I picked up. Going back to a full bodied k5. Four link rear, 3 link front and custom tube frame planned :)

I like that idea, full body with a link suspension. You just need a big block too! :)

You going full vert? I've sometimes wished I started with a K5 instead of a truck. Then other times I am glad I have the truck.

Yup full vert for the win! Going 6.0 with some mods, and maybe a tornado :D

I plan on giving your 496 a run for it's money

I missed what's wrong with the green truck. I thought it ran OK now? I know that K5s are cooler than pickups, but beyond that why isn't the green truck making a farewell appearance?

Need tires not showing up on bald 33's.

Also I plan on wheeling the green thing for a few more years. I also need to replace a shock I had one fail at bundy. I hope to find some decent or groove able 37-40" swampers for a 16.5" next rig will get 17's and 37

Good, I hope you do! Helping a friend link his jeep with king coilovers and also convinced him to go 6.0, except we are just changing the cam, adding long tubes, and running FAST efi, don't think I can convince him to swap the heads yet. It's easier spending other peoples money for them! :thumb:

I'll sell you my 36"x14.5R16.5 swamper TSLs, would sell them with the aluminum rims for $800 because I want to get some bead locks 17s. They have a lot of tread left and don't leak at all but they are about 10 years old stored inside(on the truck). They have enough tread they don't even need grooved unless you want custom grooves anyway.

Thanks Heath that is tempting but I have bead locked 16.5 rims so I don't need those fancy shiny things you have. A few 38's have come up for about 300 so I think I'll go that route. Kicking myself for selling my boggers. My mind wasn't right

Well we will have to see what it can do against a 5.3, cammed, w/20lbs of boost:deal:

Why 6.0 over 5.3? From research ive done and talking to a tuner who tunes these things regulary the 5.3's respond better to boost. Get up in the r's quicker which builds boost quicker. Also handle revving out better.

I really like how the 6.0 is off the line compared to the 5.3. I can get a whipple charger for cheap and can swap in an afternoon rather than custom turbo routing etc. plan to run the 6.0 with a cam first then add boost later. Not trying to get the 1000hp number just low to mid 400s which should be easy to do with just a little boost.

You could do that with a cam and long tubes and some tuning, no need for boost. Swap the heads and intake for some new LS3 rect port heads with offset rockers and you could be pushing 500 hp.

I do want to keep it street able though. What cam would you suggest? 204/218 or 225/230?
