And it continues build thread. Dead.. sent to the scrapyard

I did groove my outers and they haven't chunked on two trips so far. You might consider just doing the larger ones and leave the smaller ones alone. This is how trailworthyfab grooves their Bajas as well so I copied it.

Also, if the tires are warm they groove MUCH easier. Also how old are they? Harder, old tires groove tough.

Note when letting the iron sit between grooving put it head up, don't let it hang down. It can overheat and toast it. I just put a piece of wood in the vise horizontally and slide the handle onto the board so the head points up.

I just let the groover warm up like the directions said. It cuts like butter with a new blade. So far I have about an hr and 10 minutes into one tire(two lunch breaks)

Another 30 minutes into second tire. At this rate I'll finish in may sometime. :doah::doah:

Still debating if I should cut the outer lugs.

If undecided the safe thing is to skip the outers for now, try them out and decide from there. You can always add them later. No rush on getting the groover back. If it sits there a few months no biggie. I don't foresee needing it anytime soon.

Very Nice!!

Got through about 2/3 of the tire. I used the pattern eric likes. Makes a bunch of triangles and diamonds :)

That looks great Jess!
I've seen some guys cut the large outside lugs but they seemed to get torn off easier after being cut.
You may want to use them like that before cutting too much?

Yup I think thats the plan. I'm kinda sick of grooving already and I only have 2 tires done..:haha::haha:

Finished the tire.. Here is the two I've done back to back. I do really like the new diamond pattern.
