Re: Anny body with ord X over?

The steering arm is the solid piece that goes on top of the knuckle /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif No zerks there. My SKY stuff came with zerks on both ends of the draglink and both ends of the tie-rod. If there is a hole in the DLE/TRE there should be a zerk /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Re: Anny body with ord X over?

yes there is a zerk there, the stock arms have them and the ord arm has them also right on top in the center

Re: Anny body with ord X over?

Zerk fitting in the arm itself? Post up some pics.

Re: Anny body with ord X over?

The grease zirk goes in the top of the cap for the kingpin just like a normal cap. Yes you do need a grease zirk in there and it should have been with the kit. Like most small parts sometimes they like to walk off on the job and you never realize it. Double check that it is not stuck to some tape some where and if needed use the one that is already in your existing cap.

Sorry you didn't get it if it is missing.

Re: Anny body with ord X over?

Instead of starting a new post Ill just ask in this one...Okay so in Steve's review of the Xover it shows the passenger side having studs for the cap. My 60 does not have studs just bolts..Do I have to remove the studs for the original steering arm and use bolts instead of the studs? Also I dont know which way to put the new studs in for the Xover arm; long threads or short threads into the knuckle?

Re: Anny body with ord X over?

If you are only going for cross over and not high steer "I think" you can remove the studs from the driver side and put them in the passenger side and all should be good.

If it were me I would purchase new studs from ORD. They have some higher strength studs out now I believe.

Re: Anny body with ord X over?

Do you know if the long or short side of threads on the new studs go into the knuckle?

Re: Anny body with ord X over?

IIRC the short side goes in. Yes you can swith the top hats, bolts, and studs from knuckle to knuckle. I would highly reccomend new studs for the arms though.
