Anybody heard of a "desert fox edition" K5/jimmy?

I used to get a station up here that showed 60's, 70's, and 80's stuff. It was awesome.

Forgot how much I loved the show Magnum PI. Cool car, great location, military stuff, the .45 tucked in the waistband, the hat and the big goofy mustache, just good campy times.

I do have to say I think it held up better than A-Team and the like. I watched that and Knight Rider among others and after a while it was like, ugh...were we really this dumb in the 80's?

Common, Eric Estrada's made the rest of his "career" off that show.

This implies the existence of said post-CHiPs career. It's a condition known as "Shatneritis" :haha:

Yeah, the A-Team got fairly bad in later seasons, especially with the introduction of Robert Vaughn's character.

TV -- and society -- sure has changed. Look at The Addams Family, say, or, speaking of cheese ... SWAT :haha:

I loved how Ponch and John worked Central LA, from the beach to the desert. They went to everything and never took a report...:D

How many times did they need to take off the boots and socks to swim down and pull somebody out of a sinking car?
I was always waiting for a car to explode even though it was under water:haha::haha:.

That Sun Tiger is amazing. I wouldnt mind seeing one of those. Never even heard of them till i saw that link.

you buncha thread derailing fockers! unbelievable!

:haha:

Whiner. :D Back on topic, there are a bunch of factory option packages like that, and when you get into the third-party ones the sky's the limit.

The Chalet is prolly the goofiest of the lot, and most famous around here

In the aftermarket zone we have the Sportbird...

And hey, how about a Ducks Unlimited Burb in various camos and with an optional boat?

Starcraft interior and a CUCV brushguard ... all "off the shelf" specialty parts.

Speaking of Starcraft...

Or the Outdoorsman package:

That better? I'm sure we can still turn it into reminiscing about TV shows if we try :haha:

I remember this movie with a Blazer...

Dunno if I'd call the Chalet goofy...different yes...kind of a logical step since to me the Blazers would be a better choice for a camper than a pickup with the open cab and all.

Drive one. Trust me, they're goofy :D

You know, Steve Forrest had a cameo in the 2003 remake, as the truck driver... ahh, trivia. :D

Can't forget this one if you have BJ and the Bear!

Before he was the Bear he was a trucker

And they never fired their guns (it was too violent for the producers!) Give me "Adam 12" any day.

Oh, well, like SWAT or the A-Team were any better. The A-Team expended more rounds in one episode than many African bush wars, and never ever killed anyone ... hell, they rarely even hit anything, except for tires which magically explode and make the vehicle roll over, with no fatalities :haha:

Yeah, I remember thinking it was all so cool...

...then a year or so ago sitting there watching a few shaking my head in disbelief over the cheesiness.
